ANP start confrontation with Hazarawalls in Karachi

KARACHI :  newly emerging ethic rivals clashes would be on card.

The clash between the rival ethnic parities and the arrest of seven workers of Hazara community on Monday with in the limits of Shah Faisal Police station fueled the tension.
According to the reports, skirmish between the recently emerging rival ethnic groups has been continued for last couple of weeks in different areas.
On Sunday when workers of Hazara community were getting back after a protest demonstration being attacked by the workers of ANP in Shah Fisal Town, said Naeem Ashraf, spokesman of Hazara Youth League.
He added their workers were getting back to their areas peacefully when rival group activists were pelting with stones on rally and also caught some of the workers of Hazara community and torturing them.
Workers of the Hazara community when came to known reached to rescued their associates when police party arrested the victims while miscreants were managed to escape, he said added that police knew the facts but booked our innocent people because they are influential people having stake in national and provincial government.
Police said that the arrested persons included Asghar, Bashir, Nadeem and Saleem were booked while registered the FIR No 262/10 on the complaint of ANP local leader named Pervaz.

Pervaz while in his statement to the police said that the a large number of people belonging to the Hazara community arrived at ANP’s office located at Qalandari Chowk within the limits of Shah Faisal police station where they destroyed and torched the stuff in the office. Upon resistance, three ANP men named Yaqoob, Shahid Bangash and Naveed Tanoli were wounded as their rival group members were beaten them with the batons and iron rods. On the other hand, during the clash, two ANP’s rival men Saleem Qureshi and Adeel were also wounded. Following the incident, panic and fear gripped up the locality, however, the heavy contingent of the law enforcers controlled the law and order situation.

It is pertinent to mention here that there are many more areas in Karachi where both communities have been residing jointly including Sultanabad, Shreen Jinnah Colony, Kala Pull, Qayoomabad, Mehmoodabad, Baldia Town, Quaidabad, Sharpao Colony, Landhi, Kimari, metrovill and various other areas where tension has been continued between the rival groups while it has been expected that the confrontation between the rival group would be violent in the city.

  1. We are all one. We are Pakistanis. We have every right to go and demand development of our own areas. Why should we be forced to go out and earn. Develop our areas there is no need to go to Karachi. We make our own areas “Ilaqa Ghair” where no one should come and we go out and expect every thing. Why?
